Dig the Brubeck Brothers Quartet at the Webb Center

Release Date: Feb 16, 2009   Author: Cathy Weiss

WICKENBURG, AZ -

The Brubeck Brothers Quartet is an exciting jazz group featuring two members of one of Americas most accomplished musical families, Dan Brubeck (drums,) and Chris Brubeck (bass & trombone). Guitarist Mike DeMicco, and pianist Chuck Lamb complete this dynamic quartet.

Jazz fans will have three opportunities to enjoy, engage and experience the Brubeck Brothers during their visit to Arizona. Wednesday, February 25 at 9PM, tune in and enjoy Dan and Chris Brubeck for a live in-studio interview with Blaise Lantana on 95.5 FM KJZZ Phoenix.

Thursday evening, February 26, the Webb Center will engage patrons with their continuing series “Conversation with an Artist” at the Los Caballeros Golf Club. This intimate evening is entitled Growing Up Brubeck; Chris and Dan will share their experiences growing up in a home always filled with the greatest jazz musicians of our time.

The Brubeck Brothers Quartet will take the stage at the Webb Center on Friday, February 27 at 7:30pm for a full length concert.

Although the quartets style is rooted in “straight-ahead” jazz, their concerts reveal an inherent ability to explore and play odd time signatures while naturally integrating the influences of funk, blues and world music. The groups creativity, technique and improvisation can be heard in their uncompromising music, which reflects their dedication to melody, rhythm, culture and the spontaneous spirit of jazz.
