Release Date: Oct 25, 2009 Author: Cathy Weiss
WICKENBURG, AZ - Pianist, composer and international touring artist William Joseph will perform live with his quartet Thursday, Nov 5, 7:30 PM at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts.
Joseph, a west valley resident, is a David Foster protégé and a featured performer on the acclaimed PBS special “David Foster and Friends.”
His music – a genre-defying crossover that has been described as “classical pop” – captures a variety of moods, from dramatic, to heart-wrenching, to light and playful, all performed with the emotional power and polished precision that has become Josephs signature.
On Saturday, Nov 7, 8:30 PM Halo of Flies will perform; an Alice Cooper tribute band, with a special guest appearance by Alice Cooper himself. All the members of the band are accomplished musicians, and life-long fans of Alices music. The audience will rock to their very faithful recreations of Alices big hits as well as some unearthed gems. Also on the line-up for the evening are musical artists Destinee Quinn and Safe Haven and comedian Michael “Black Jack” Wilson.
Then Tuesday, Nov 10, 7:30 PM Chanticleer called “the worlds reigning male chorus” by the New Yorker magazine will grace the Webb Centers stage.
Named Ensemble of the Year by Musical America their seamless blend of 12 male voices, ranging from countertenor to bass, has developed a remarkable reputation for a vivid interpretation of vocal literature, from Renaissance to jazz, and from gospel to venturesome new music.
The GRAMMY award winning ensembles program entitled “In Time Of…” is a musical journey through time – from something old, to something newer, to something brand new.
Tickets to all three concerts may be reserved through the Webb Center Box Office or on-line at www.delewebbcenter.org.
