Marty Stuart has grown up in the music industry. He joined Lester Flatt and the Nashville Grass in 1972, at the age of 13, with a mandolin and a dream. He never looked back. He is known not only for his traditional style but also for his eclectic merging of rockabilly, honky tonk and country music. Stuart has worked with music legends Vassar Clements and Doc Watson and played in Johnny Cashs backup band. His slate of album releases charts his progress from young boy to country music legend. With His Fabulous Superlatives along for the wild ride, this kick off for the 62nd Annual Gold Rush Days will certainly be one to remember!
